What is BAEUTI? A Message from the Owner

When I moved away from home and ventured to London in 2018, one of the biggest things I looked forward too was having a place to call my own. While what followed was a string of student accommodations and house shares, I wanted what everyone wants. My own space, to my own design.

When the time came to decorate my own space the part that stumped me was finding décor that truly matched my tastes. I'm a firm believer that ones home is an extension of oneself and an outlet of expression, not unlike fashion. The catch is that most brands I found didn't cater to me. I was a colourful creative surrounded by a sea of beige, grey velvet and simple design. The items I did love were wildly out of my price range and so I did what more and more young creatives are doing. I created my own.
As a person I'm quite frankly, a bit all over the place and wildly indecisive. Did I want a minimalist home? maximalist? brutalist? contemporary? the truth is I wanted all of it at the same time. I didn't want to settle for one interior design style and why should I? I started to design small items. candles, coasters and all sorts of trinkets. I designed pieces that would work as a statement in a minimalist space, contrast the industrial spaces, compliment the maximalist ones. The process behind these designs made them so much more than trinkets, they were creative outlets and Art pieces. its from these origins that BAEUTI was born. We don't create homeware, we create functional art pieces.
Along the way I fell into countless communities of creatives, Designers and Do It Yourselfers. I found a lost generation of homeowners and renters who want their homes to reflect them, not just be in line with current fads and trends. I wanted to share their passions and explore their styles, I wanted to collaborate and create with them. I knew there were others out there with the same obsession and so I founded BAEUTI to bring them together.
BAEUTI is new, we're taking our baby steps into a very big and bold world and there's lots of exciting things to come and I'd be honoured if you came along for the ride.
Bryn.
